Wrapped up in sewing projects

5 sewing projects

That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing around the house here for the past couple weeks. In my last sewing post I talked about some of the troubles I was having getting started with sewing. Well I’m happy to say I’m leaps and bounds above that. I feel so much better with my machine. It’s like we’ve been dating. We’re comfortable with each other and I know all the right “buttons” to push haha.

So I started out with these napkins and after about my sixth one I realized napkins really are an easy project.

So then I moved onto more napkins.

And then out of fear that I may only sew napkins forever, I decided to delve into another easy sewing project; pillows.

And then this pillow.

And most recently, I took this ottoman…

And turned it into this.

That has been my home life for the past couple weeks. Do you ever get so wrapped up in a new hobby that you just can’t stop? Tell me about it!

  2. I love it! I bought my first EVER sewing machine about a month ago, and have since made a table runner and about a dozen pillows (because both allow me to sew straight lines without fear of totally screwing something up). So far, so good!
